As a web design service, why do we even host at all?
Up until 2006, our ethos was quite simply that we design, It's what we do best and you select a host. We were and still are busy enough without managing hosting as well. We were happy to recommend hosts from our experience over the years.
We encountered so many 'rogue traders' out there, some of whom simply would release a client's domain name if they wanted to switch hosting. With .com and other global domain names, you're pretty powerless to do anything if they refuse to release what in actual fact is your property as long as you pay for it! Others would charge a 'administration fee'.
Other hosts were based overseas, extremely inferior technology and business practices, charging above usual for hosting or charging for another web hosting package if you wanted a second website... Something you shouldn't have to do.
Still there were and still are others, who have no regard for trading standards and offer very low rates for a great package... until you find that you have to pay for so many extras that you actually need, that you end up paying double the odds!
One of the top hosting companies we used to recommend, became inflexible and wouldn't even extend the size of a database for one of our clients even if they upgraded to their top package. They then topped it all when they moved their help desks to the Philippines. Not only were the lines so atrocious and some of the assistant's accents so acute that it took me three attempts to get some help before resorting to an online ticket instead. To add to that, I then received three or four completely contradictory and differing suggestions and advice!

We became so disillusioned by the industry, that we decided to find a reputable and established company who would lease us several servers. A company that are based here in the UK, their servers are here in the UK, they have around the clock engineers onsite to maintain and troubleshoot any problems and who's servers are all backed up by other servers should one fail.
Now we can offer excellent web hosting packages to suit all, from home use, to freelancers, small businesses and large and our Corporate Pro package is powerful enough to host the largest Corporate Ecommerce site anywhere in the world!
We've researched every decent provider in the UK as well as abroad and offer at least as much in each of our packages as the best out there... but for less!
We are flexible and can adjust any one of our packages to suit an individual need and offer free advice and support here in the UK and especially locally to Hertford, Ware and the surrounding areas.

Although we have 3 basic web hosting packages, 'Home', 'Business Pro' and 'Corporate Pro', any of these can be increased (within reason), on request, in terms of web space and bandwidth, adding webmail accounts and email forwarding, increasing the number of MySQL databases and so on, for the most part at no additional cost per month and with no set-up or administration charges. We can tailor your account to what would suit you and your service or business best. Simply select one of the accounts that is closest to what you require, let us know how you would like to configure or add to it and we will do the rest.

We use only Dell servers in our web hosting platform. Utilising state-of-the-art technology we have built a web hosting platform that is second to none.
Our platform is designed in such a way that if any server fails another server automatically and without delay takes over that server's workload. For example, if one of our mail servers breaks down another server automatically comes online, with all the correct configuration, and takes over the work of the failed server. During this period no email is lost.
As well as this, all data is stored in two large network disk arrays. Data is automatically synchronised between the arrays so that in the event of an array failing the remaining array continues to serve data to the servers with no downtime.
